Background:
The school opened in 1961 and its main buildings have since been much extended. There are now three external blocks including a nursery for 50 pupils, two halls and a music and drama studio. Situated in the north west corner of Brighton and Hove close to the South Downs and the A27 by-pass, the school is set in 'large, open' grounds with gardens and a conservation area. The school is 'strong' in ICT, with several personal computers in every classroom and an ICT suite. It has 'strong' community links and is proud of its charity work which includes the support of two Action Aid children and the local hospice.
